THE WINES OF PORTUGAL
MONDAY, JULY 22, 2019 | 6:30PM - 10PM
JOIN US FOR AN INTIMATE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE.
FIVE COURSES, SEVEN WINES, ONE BRANDY, AND THREE MUSICIANS
The experience begins with a cocktail-hour-style first course, consisting of an assortment of small plates accompanied by a Portonic cocktail and a sparkling wine.
After taking our seats, the second course pairs a wine from the Vinho Verde region with a seafood dish. Augusto will talk about the wines from the first two courses.
The first musical act will take place during the second course with fado singer David Demelo.
For the third course, Augusto will present a wine from the Dao region which will be paired with a poultry dish.
In the fourth course, a wine from the Alentejo region will be paired with a meat dish and our second musical act, André D'Almeida will commence.
The fifth course is the dessert course. Augusto will pair a port from the Douro region with a distinctly Portuguese dessert.
We'll close the meal with coffee and an 8-year old brandy as our final musical performance with Manel the Island Man begins.
