About the event

The Heath is a new play with banjos and music written by one of America's most beloved playwrights, Lauren Gunderson, and directed by Sean Daniels. Lauren turns her prodigious storytelling skills on herself as she wrestles with how you make peace with a beloved relative who seems unlike you in every way. This beautiful, funny mediation on her grandfather's life draws on everything from Shakespeare to Bluegrass in a soul-stirring story of redemption, love, madness, and the science of memory.

The play casts Miranda Barnett as Lauren Gunderson and George Judy as her grandfather, KD Martin. The duo will be on our stage Saturday during brunch to whet your appetite with songs. The play is running now through March 10 at Merrimack Repertory Theater.
